Zusammenfassung:Frontlights based on thin, micro‐grooved lightguide structures have been designed, prototyped and tested. The angular distribution of the emitted light has been analyzed, both experimentally on diamond tooled prototypes, and computationally with dedicated ray‐tracing software. Efficiency and stray light have been investigated as a function of the groove angle.
