Effect of urea, bio-fertilizers and their interaction on the growth, yield and yield attributes of Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba

description | A field experiment was conducted at Agriculture Research Station Bahawalpur (Pakistan) during Kharif, 2016 to evaluate the response of cluster bean against bio and chemical fertilizers. The treatments consisted of three levels of nitrogen (urea 75g, 85g and 95g/40g seeds) with three level of Rhizobium (1.5g, 2.0g and 2.5g/40g of seeds). The experiment arranged in a randomized complete block design with 16 treatments and three replications. Combine treatment of urea and Rhizobium resulted in maximum plant height, number of pods/plants, number of seeds/pod, 1000 seeds weight, yield/plant, and chlorophyll content. Similarly, application of 2.5g rhizobium and 85g of urea separately resulted in highest number of leaves. Our results concluded that the use of urea and rhizobium in consortium could be a potential agronomic practice for the production of high grain yield in cluster bean. |
