Zusammenfassung:The schedule of activities for plant life extension should be optimized on a rational basis. This paper describes a new method of optimizing such a schedule from the viewpoints of reliability and cost. Degradation of components and implementation of activities are modeled by means of the Markov chain. Then, a potential function considering the cost of the activities is minimized under the constraint condition of reliability in terms of failure probability, by the use of the Monte Carlo simulation method. Calculation results of 30 components show the effectiveness of the present method.
