Novel Aggregation of Bis(thiolato)-type Cobalt(III) Octahedra Assisted by Silver(I) Ions: Structural Interconversion by Counter Anions
The reaction of [Ni{Co(aet)2(en)}2]4+ (aet = 2-aminoethanethiolate) with AgI in the presence of ClO4− and NO3− anions gave a S-bridged CoIII4AgI4 octanuclear and a (CoIII2AgI3)n polymeric complexes, respectively, which are interconvertible with each other by changing the counter anions.
