Drawing on the Four I’s of Oppression (ideological, institutional, interpersonal, internalized), we flip the framework to theorize the Four I’s of Love in SiSTARhood (4ILS), developed through personal and composite counter-storytelling. The 4ILS framework aims to affirm and support critical women, femme, and nonbinary scholars of Color to unapologetically live our truths.
