description | Achieving the green development, industrial development, urban development, agricultural development, and information development (five developments) has become a current modernization strategy in China. To promote the five developments from an integrative perspective, this study first analyzed the interactive relationships between the five developments, then a panel vector autoregression model and impulse response functions were applied to evaluate the dynamic impacts between the five developments. The empirical results show that (1) The delivery times of the impacts between each development were approximately one year and all the impacts decreased over time. Many impacts disappeared after the fourth year, whereas the impact of urban development on itself were longer lasting; (2) For each development, its current level is a dominant factor for the future development. Meanwhile, the promoting impacts from other developments were also essential, where their strength and trend were different; (3) There were certain conflicts between the five developments, especially for the relationships between the green development and other developments. |
