Zusammenfassung:In the transflective fringe-field switching (FFS) mode with a wide-viewing characteristic, it is essential to match the voltage–reflectance curve with the voltage–transmittance curve. However, the operating voltage in the reflective part is smaller than that in the transmissive part. In addition, the strong fringe field at the edge of pixel electrodes [second indium–tin oxide (ITO)s] results in significant non-uniformity in liquid crystal (LC) director distribution. To increase the operating voltage of the reflective part toward that of the transmissive part, a structure with an increased rubbing angle and resin on pixel electrodes is postulated.
