description In order to achieve the greenhouse gas reduction target set by the Paris Agreement, it is essential to reduce the immense impact caused by the traffic environment. The implementation of multiple low-carbon, advanced transportation system is being considered as one of the solutions. This research quantitatively evaluates the environmental improvement effect of advanced traffic from the viewpoints of traffic volume, EV penetration rate, and power generation composition ratio by focusing on EV, LRT, autonomous vehicle, and electric buses. In addition, this study projects the future environmental load, using Utsunomiya City’s advanced transportation, and its corresponding public transportation and energy policies. As a result, the relationship between traffic volume and its load at LRT introduction, and the impact of public transportation system on future load were discussed.
