Zusammenfassung: | In this analysis, we consider the propagation of acceleration waves in a general nonlinear three-dimensional elastic medium. We assume that a propagating discontinuity in the extrinsic body force and heat supply has induced a discontinuity in the acceleration field and seek to determine the amplitude of this and other discontinuities in the mechanical and thermodynamic fields associated with it. At first we derive an explicit relation for the amplitude of the induced acceleration wave for the case in which thermodynamic influences are neglected. Then, considering the material to behave first as a nonconductor and then as a definite conductor, corresponding expressions are derived for the amplitude of the induced waves. |
