Spectra were measured at room temperature in a transmission geometry. All the spectra were fitted to a hyperfine field H/sub n/ distribution. The average iron magnetic moment mu /sub Fe/ over the whole distribution was obtained for a wide range of Tb-Fe film composition. The correlation between MS and magnetooptical data was studied. The effective values of the angle between the film normal and direction for Fe atom moments mu /sub Fe/ were obtained. Possible reasons for iron moments divergence from the film normal are discussed.&lt; &gt;</description><identifier>ISSN: 0018-9464</identifier><identifier>EISSN: 1941-0069</identifier><identifier>DOI: 10.1109/20.179544</identifier><identifier>CODEN: IEMGAQ</identifier><language>eng</language><publisher>New York, NY: IEEE</publisher><subject>Amorphous magnetic materials ; Amorphous materials ; Applied sciences ; Chemicals ; Condensed matter: electronic structure, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties ; Exact sciences and technology ; Geometry ; Iron ; Magnetic films ; Magnetic moments ; Magnetic properties and materials ; Magnetic properties of surface, thin films and multilayers ; Magnetooptic effects ; Metals.
