Zusammenfassung:The experience and characteristics of a curriculum is discussed, developed by the Michigan Diabetes Research and Training Center, to educate diabetes patients and to aid diabetes educators. Topics include: the planning of the curriculum; the development and content of the curriculum teaching modules; and the importance of establishing long- and short-term goals. The evaluation process developed to review and ensure the accuracy and quality of the curriculum also is described.
