Zusammenfassung:	This report described a case of cimetidine-induced thrombocytopenia documented by accidental rechallenge. With the increasing use of cimetidine, especially in patients with complicated problems that predispose to gastrointestinal blood loss, it is important to recognize thrombocytopenia as one of the possible side effects of cimetidine therapy and to monitor platelet studies frequently.
