Zusammenfassung:Abstract Background Hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and smoking are established cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF). Little is known about the changes of risk factor profiles over time in patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Purpose To analyze the temporal trends of CVRF in patients presenting with AMI over the last 22 years in Switzerland. Methods We included data of all AMI patients enrolled between 1997 and 2018 in the Swiss nationwide AMIS Plus registry. The rates of hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia and smoking at presentation were descriptively analyzed dividing the data into 2-year periods.
