Zusammenfassung: | The discrete ordinates method as a solution to the radiative transport equation is parallelized using the domain decomposition approach for three-dimensional Cartesian geometries with a diffusively reflecting wall. The method contains absorbing, emitting, and anisotropically scattering media. We investigate load balancing and define a pipelining procedure. The algorithm is tested on a cluster of personal computers, and super linear speed-up is observed for cases of a certain data size, as a result of the cache optimization of the compiler. |
