Zusammenfassung:We examined the psychometric properties of the 15-item Multidimensional Existential Meaning Scale (MEMS) scores in three different samples of students, adults, and patients with chronic illness. Confirmatory factor analysis and item response theory-based results provided some support for the tripartite model. Additionally, individual subscales (i.e., comprehension, purpose, mattering) were reasonably recovered.
