Zusammenfassung:A mathematical model is developed in order to numerically analyze the results of an experimental investigation of relaxation processes in a transverse-discharge copper vapor laser excited by pulse trains. While short pulse trains made it possible to exclude the influence of gas heating on relaxation characteristics, the role of thermal effects was made manifest through the use of long pulse trains.
