Dipole Coupling of CO (NO) Adsorbed on Iron Oxide Surface Centres: a Typical Feature of Surface Active Sites

FTIR spectroscopy combined with TEM and kinetic measurements has been used to demonstrate that cluster defect centers exhibiting dipole coupling of adsorbed CO (NO) determine the iron oxide activity in CO oxidation.
