Daratumumab in Primary Effusion Lymphoma

In primary effusion lymphoma, a herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8)–associated neoplasm that is most common in HIV-coinfected patients, cells often express CD38. In a patient in whom systemic therapies were unsuccessful, daratumumab led to a tumor response and decreased HHV-8 levels.
