The sewall-boyden flap: An external approach to frontal sinusotomy

The purpose of this report is to review the details of the Sewall-Boyden method of external frontoethmoidectomy and the creation of a nasofrontal duct lined by a medially based mucoperiosteal flap that has resulted in a high degree of long-term patency even in the difficult patient group.
