Ir and La-codoped KTaO 3 has arisen as a novel powdered photocatalyst responding to visible light up to a wavelength of 600 nm. RhCrO 3 -loaded KTaO 3 codoped with Ir and La splits water into H 2 and O 2 under visible light irradiation.
