Strong nonlinear optical effect attained by atom-response-theory aided design in the Na 2 M II MIV2Q 6 (M II = Zn, Cd; M IV = Ge, Sn; Q = S, Se) chalcogenide system

Two new phases, Na 2 MSn 2 Se 6 (M = Zn/Cd), exhibiting overall high quality parameters for infrared nonlinear optical applications were synthesized based on a new atom response theory aided searching approach.
