Cribrarione B, a New Naphthoquinone Pigment from the Myxomycete Cribraria c ancellata

Cribrarione B (1), a new naphthoquinone pigment, has been isolated from the myxomycete Cribraria cancell ata, and its structure was elucidated as 2,5,8-trihydroxy-6-(1-hydroxyethyl)-[1,4]-naphthoquinone by NMR and mass spectral data.
