Zusammenfassung:Stable two-dimensional fine-particle arrays composed of fine polystyrene particles (0.2−1.0 μm) in solution were prepared by use of a photo-cross-linking process. These stable arrays were examined by means of atomic force microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and optical microscopy. This type of array is highly stable in solution, a characteristic that would greatly widen the field of applications for two-dimensional arrays.
