Chromium and Vanadium

The technical status of chromium and vanadium is reviewed. Methods of producing the metals in high-purity form and the effect of specific impurities, notably oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon are discussed in general terms. Problems and proflts to be realized from alloying are presented. (auth)
