Zusammenfassung: | Optical metasurfaces provide a prospective platform for analog image processing. Recently, they have been used for applications such as denoising and edge enhancement, but their potential for spatial correlation analysis has not been investigated yet. In this paper, we propose a silicon-based metasurface for image detection by spatial optical Fourier filtering in the analog domain. We study, both experimentally and numerically, the constraints of the proposed method for rotated and scaled images and discuss possible solutions to overcome imposed limitations. Our research opens up new possibilities in various real-time image processing applications. |
