Zusammenfassung: | There are conflicting reports about the effect of glucomannan in the weight control which may be due to the variations in the intervention dose, participants, sample sizes, study durations and overall methodological quality. The present systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted to investigate the effects of glucomannan on weight loss in overweight and obese adults.
Relevant studies, published up to April 2020, were searched through PubMed/Medline, Scopus. All randomized clinical trials investigating the effect of glucomannan supplementation on weight loss were included.
