Zusammenfassung:Laboratory calibrations simulating different locations of access tubes in a potato crop, examined the possible influence of the water content of tubers on measurements of soil moisture made with a neutron probe. It was concluded that even when access tubes were located within the row, the presence of tubers did not significantly affect estimates of soil moisture made with the neutron probe.
