Zusammenfassung:	High-resolution x-ray spectroscopy has been applied to the electronic structures of the water molecule in the gaseous and condensed states. It is shown that the spatial structures of the water molecule in the liquid and solid states are close to tetrahedra. There is a discussion of the effects of the molecular interactions on the x-ray spectra.
