The transcarboxylation reaction mechanisms of aromatic carboxylic acid salts in an atmosphere of 14 CO 2 was studied 2,6‐Naphthalenedicarboxylic, 2,5‐pyridine‐dicarboxylic and 2,5‐furanedicarboxylic acids, labelled with 14 C in the carboxylic groups were prepared.
