Zusammenfassung:Synthesis of (R)‐Lasiodiplodin from Polyhydroxybutyric Acid The twelve‐membered macrolide (R)‐lasiodiplodin (1), a fungal metabolite of Botrysdiplodia theobromae, has been synthesized in a nine‐step procedure. (R)‐1,3‐Butanediol (6), which is easily available by reductive depolymerization of the biopolymer polyhydroxybutyric acid (PHB), proves itself as a suitable enantiomerically pure building block.
