Zusammenfassung:Boswellia papyrifera resins have had a long journey from 1500 BC. In 1966, the cembranoid skeleton become a part of the journey towards chemical investigations, and several cembranoids have been reported, but there is still uncertainty about their structure elucidation. In this study, we isolated 38 macrocyclic cembranoids from B. papyrifera resins, including six whose accepted structures needed to be revised. The study describes 25 single‐crystal analyses, during which misleading factors in the stereochemistry determinations over the past 70 years were found. In addition, in their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202300559) Y.‐X. Cheng and co‐workers propose a biosynthetic pathway and briefly discuss SAR studies.
