New Developments in China＇s Theory of Ownership

The theory of ownership lies at the core of the Marxist political economy. It also forms a central aspect of the political economy of socialism with Chinese charac- teristics. Since the launch of the reform and opening up drive in the late 1970s, China has made major breakthroughs in the development of its theory of ownership as the country＇s endeavors in socialism have advanced. These developments have facilitated not only the improvement of China＇s socialist market economy but also the country＇s sustained and sound economic growth.
