MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF Nd-Fe(Co,Al,Ga)-B ALLOYS AND THE SITE OCCUPATIONS OF Al,Co,Ga ELEMENTS

This paper addresses the magnetic properties of Nd-Fe （Co,Al,Ga）-B permanent magneticalloys. The crystal occupations of Co,Al,Ga atoms at these alloys have been studied by meansof Mossbauer spectroscopy. The magnets were made by means of powder metallurgy methodwith magnetic properties: Br=1.19 T, iHG=1130kA/m, BHmax=262kJ/m3, Br=0.04%/℃,TC=450-550℃. The results indicated that the Alatoms mainly occupy the j2 site, Ga atomspreferentially occupy k2 site and Co atoms the 8j2 and 16 k2 sites. The reason why the Curietemperature rises lies in the fact that the Co atoms have occupied the crystal sites in thetetragonal phase.
