Artefacte din materii dure animale din situl arheologic de la Roșiori (jud. Neamț)

The pluristratified archaeological site from Roșiori (the point Old Dust), commune Dulcești, Neamț county, located on the upper terrace of the river Moldova, includes several levels of living. These belong to the settlements populated by Geto-Dacians, in two successive phases (the IIIrd-IInd centuries BC and Ist century BC), Free Dacian (the IInd-IIIrd centuries AD) and the Romanic population (the VIth-VIIth centuries AD). For the finished pieces, as well as for those in various stages of processing, manufacturing, the raw material consists of bones, cornular processes and horns of domestic animals (bovine, ovine and caprine), but also bones, teeth, tusks and horns of wild animals (deer, rafters, wolves, wild boars). The members of the mentioned communities made various objects manually, such as agricultural tools (planters, sickles), household tools (handles, hilt, needles, piercings), port pieces (amulets, beads, pendants) and relaxation (whistles). Most are the parts in the tool category. Because the settlement of the Free Dacians is the largest and with the largest number of dwellings, implicitly, most objects belong to the members of this community. For all the settlements, 16 finished pieces were found, 5 being processed and 14 scraps.
