Zusammenfassung: | The paper describes the state-of-arts of provision of psychoeducational programs for family carers of people with dementia. It includes the history of psychoeducation and the theoretical model, which has been the starting point for creating effective psychoeducational programs. The main output of this work is an overview of psychoeducational programs in the Czech Republic, with regard to their form and content. It seems that, despite the barriers to the legislation and the funding system, the development of programs for relatives goes in the same direction as abroad, towards complex and individualized interventions. |
