BASKI RESİMDE ANLATIMCI İFADECİLİĞİ İLE GÜLER AKALAN

The subject of this research is the vast subject expression created by the color and object elements in Güler Akalan's engravings. As in the other areas of the art, with the foundation of Turkish Republic, efforts on identity creation are witnessed in Turkish drawing. In Turkey, we see the effects of the ornament and the pattern of rugs and carpets in creating superficial and decorative pictures. The traditional interaction, which emerged in stylistic way at the beginning, continued to be internalized in the process and became effective in the work of artists after 1970. Interaction with traditional arts has an ongoing process that gets intensified in the individual works of today's artists. It seems that Güler Akalan also used the patterns of our origin in her own pieces. In this study, the expressionist narrative in the works of the artist who has a contemporary style has been tried to be mentioned.
