Zusammenfassung: | The starting point of this article is the fact that languages are more or less concurrent linguistic phenomena although each individual language system presents different structures and features. Typological proximity and connexions, genetic relationship of the investigated languages represent on no account an assumption for confrontation; a fundamental assumption is the comparability of the size. We also cannot confront two languages as a whole, because a global comparison of languages would be too much for itself. In comparative linguistics there are conflicting opinions on the applicability of confrontations. This article also deals with the limits as well as the unmistakable advantages of this research method in the teaching of foreign languages. |
