This text examines the relation of exiles towards space and place, focusing on Goran Stefanovski’s plays Casabalkan, Euroalien, and Hotel Europe, in the context of the concept of heterotopias as elaborated by Michel Foucault. As the text is focused on the plays Stefanovski wrote after he relocated to Great Britain, it also explores how his own experience and notions on relocation, presented in his essays and interviews, reflect in his work as a playwright.
