Zusammenfassung:There is an old dispute between personality psychologists and social psychologists with regard to either internal or external determinant factors importance in the process of construction of personality. This dispute is generally known as the person-situation debate. Personologists have a natural tendency for supraappreciation of the internal factors role (trait, motives, etc.) in producing person behavior. The aim of this paper is to show that the personologists don’t deny the importance of social determinism in the construction of personality, but it is often recognized in an implicit way. The stress was placed mainly on the interpretation of factors that are described in the Five-Factor Model, the theory with the greatest impact today in the sphere of personality.
