Within the demands of these reform requests; EU aims to improve the quality of the democracy of the countries that will be incorporated. In this context; firstly it is referred (mentioned) the concept of democracy and EU's democratization requests. Afterwards; Czech Republic and Romania's which were participated to the European Union to its fifth (2004) and sixth (2007) expansion wave, what kind of democratic reforms were carried out in accordance with the EU's demans are examined.
