The article outlines the issues and research perspectives related to the intensification of studies on family struc- tures and household communities in feu- dal Poland. The author indicates the need to extend and modernise the questionnaire of research questions, which should lead to discovering many interesting spheres of the everyday existence of the elementary cell of social and demographic phenomena. Further in-depth research should be supported by expanding the catalogue of sources consid- ered jointly and, to an even greater extent, by using theoretical models and statistical tools (microsimulations).
