description This paper introduces the special issue of Croatian Sociological Review that highlights good practices of reporting on qualitative research on case studies exploring gendered processes and relationships. In the first part of the paper, "transparency" and "reflexivity" are described as guiding principles in evaluating qualitative reporting. In the second part, four empirical studies are introduced and the contributions of their qualitative approaches are detailed. Next, good practices of these qualitative studies are highlighted in the framework of suggested guidelines for qualitative reporting on the selection and recruitment of participants, ethical issues, and analytical procedures. In the final part of the paper, the concept of "palpability" is considered as another criterion for qualitative reporting, and the paper concludes with a plea for three principles of qualitative reporting in practice: transparency, reflexivity and palpability.
